Thene is SETONAIKAI in Japan , which is beautiful inland sea. This sea has many old histories and nice cultures. Some small islands are acattered all around this sea.

 

There is Oyama Shrine in Innoshima , which is one of those islands. Oyama shrine looks over Seto Island Sea , and as a god of sea and mounteain has been seeing the happiness of people there since ancient times.

Main God Name :OYAMAZUMIOKAMI.
This god is believed as a god for mountain , architecture , victory & lucky , viyage and traffic.
Another God Name : MIMIGO OKAMI.
This god is believed as a god for the illness of ear and mis forturne. Legend of MIMIGO OKAMI.

 

Long time ago , a grandmother's grand child suddelty could not hear again , This is why "MIMIGO Shrine" as has been necognized as a God that can heal the iiiness of ear , and many people worship it. This shrine first became known among fishermen .

 

Since old days , as a turban shell is similar to am ear , a custom of giving a turban shell with vice and alcohol has been done when you visit this shrine , you knock at the pillar in the shrine three times , saying "MIMIGOSAN".
It is the only one shrine in Japan that many people workship the shrine of ear visit.
